| Thallus foliicolous, 1–3 cm wide, adnate, smooth  to indistinctly farinose-byssoid, dull greenish grey, with scattered paler and  slightly raised areas, 10–20 μm thick; isidia and globose granules absent.  Prothallus indistinct, byssoid, mainly of radiating hyphae, white. Photobiont  cells aggregated in small groups, rounded to oblong, 7–12 × 5–8 μm. Medulla  indistinct, white. Ascigerous parts common, erumpent, slightly raised above  thallus level, irregular to radially elongate, white with darker dots  indicating individual asci. Asci solitary, 8-spored. Ascospores  oblong-ellipsoidal, 50–70 × 15–30 μm. Pycnidia not seen. CHEMISTRY: Thallus K–, C–, KC–, P+ yellow, UV–; containing psoromic acid (major), 2’-O-demethylpsoromic acid (minor), subpsoromic acid (minor). | ||
